Frequently asked questions

The short answers to what people ask most. Anything else, email dave@wavebets.com.

Predictions

Are your predictions guaranteed to win?

No, and any site that promises sure wins is not being honest with you. Our predictions are probabilities from a statistical model: when we say 70%, we still expect to be wrong three times in ten. The settled record of every published pick is public on the models page, losses included, so you can judge the model on evidence rather than promises.

How are the predictions made?

The core model is Dixon-Coles: attack and defence ratings per team fitted on match history, blended with bookmaker prices. A panel of AI analysts adds written previews using the same numbers. We show the market price next to our probability so you can see where we disagree with the bookmakers.

When are predictions updated?

Every day. Fixtures, probabilities and tips refresh through the day as lineups and odds move, and results settle automatically once matches finish.

What do the markets mean?

1X2 is home win, draw or away win. Double chance (1X, 12, X2) covers two outcomes in one pick. BTTS is both teams to score. Over/under is total goals in the match, and correct score is the exact final scoreline. The match pages spell the pick out in words, not just the code.

Why do your odds differ from my bookmaker?

Odds move. We show the price we recorded when the tip was published, and your bookmaker may have moved since. Value tips are exactly that gap: matches where our probability is higher than the bookmaker's price implies.

Pro and billing

What does Pro include?

Everything free, plus the daily VIP shortlist (Banker, Value and Combo picks), the correct score probability map, Asian handicap probabilities, the AI pre-match write-up on every game, and unlimited BetAI questions. The full VIP record, every pick settled, is public on the record page.

Do the plans auto-renew?

Yes. Every plan is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel: $19.99 every month, $9.99 every week, or $3.99 every 3 days. The 3-day plan is not a one-off trial; it keeps billing every three days until you cancel it. Monthly works out cheapest per day.

How do I cancel or unsubscribe?

Sign in, open Account and press Manage billing. That opens the secure Stripe portal where you can cancel or change plan in a couple of clicks. Access continues until the end of the paid period. If you cannot sign in, use the password reset link or email us and we will cancel it for you.

I paid but Pro features are still locked. What do I do?

Your account is upgraded the moment Stripe confirms payment. If you still see locked features, sign out and back in, then open your account page once so your session refreshes. If it is still locked after that, email us with your invoice number and we will fix it the same day.

Can I get a refund?

We do not refund partial periods, but cancelling stops every future charge and you keep access until the paid period ends. If something genuinely went wrong with a payment, email us and we will look at it.

Can I pay without a USD card?

A lot of our bettors are in Africa and elsewhere where USD card payments are awkward. Email wavepredictions@gmail.com and we will sort an alternative.

Account

I bought Pro without an account. How do I log in?

That is the normal flow: pay first, then the welcome page asks you to set a password on the email address you used at checkout. If you missed that step, use the password reset page with the same email and you will get a setup link.

How do I delete my account?

From the account page, danger zone. Deleting removes your picks, follows and chats and cancels any active subscription.

The service

Are you a bookmaker? Can I bet here?

No. We publish predictions, probabilities and analysis. Any bet you place happens on a third-party site and is between you and them.

Can I trust the published record?

The record on the models page is generated from settled picks, wins and losses alike, and the weekly AIRank leaderboard scores our AI analysts the same way. We would rather show a losing day honestly than hide it.
